Karen

When Karen recently updated her Will, she decided to include CHAS.

Through work, Karen was asked to attend a charity lunch event - the company she worked for was a sponsor. She was promised lunch, drinks, dancing and entertainment, so she thought, why not?

Little did she know that night would be the start of a lifetime supporting CHAS.

For the next 15 years, Karen would attend CHAS fundraising events enjoying fabulous nights of entertainment and would volunteer at the hospice sometimes too.

"I was moved by the family experiences I heard about through CHAS, and what CHAS do to help. I don't know what a parent who loses a child goes through; unless you've been through it yourself I don't think you can ever imagine what it's really like. But I'm so glad that I've seen what CHAS does for families."

When Karen recently updated her Will, she decided to include CHAS.

"I thought CHAS was the ideal choice for a gift. It's a charity in our community, and they're doing such good work. It makes me feel like I'm going to be making a difference in the future."

Thanks to Karen and all our supporters who are leaving CHAS a gift in their Will, we have hope that CHAS will continue to give families across Scotland precious time together, far into the future.
