Spiritual Care

With dedicated chaplains in each of our hospices, we offer spiritual care to everyone. This open and inclusive support is here for children and young people, along with their family, friends and carers.

Counselling at Rachel House

Spiritual care is not necessarily religious, although it can be for many people. It’s more about a search for a sense of hope, meaning or purpose – particularly during difficult times. It’s really here to try and help people deal with the big questions that we can all have about life.

Our chaplains offer spiritual, religious and pastoral care at all times. This includes baptisms, child blessings, and funerals – as well as bereavement support. They also offer the opportunity for prayer and reflection, either in the hospices, or at home.

Both of our hospices also have quiet rooms. These are open to everyone and simply offer a space for quiet reflection.

The chaplain in Robin House is Rev Amanda Reid, and she can be contacted on 01389 722 055. In Rachel House, our Chaplain, Monica, can be reached on 01577 865 777.
