Thorntons continue their support for CHAS families

Every year, we create a calendar of high-profile events that provide magical moments for guests and help raise funds in support of the many families across Scotland who need us.

Sponsorship of these events plays a huge part in the success of them and we are delighted to welcome back Thorntons Solicitors as the headline sponsor of our flagship fundraising event, the Rocking Horse Ball.

Taking place at Prestonfield House in Edinburgh on Friday 2 June, the Mary Poppins-themed event will welcome 350 guests who will be treated to music, entertainment, games, and auctions, as well as hearing from parents supported by CHAS, and how donations can make such a difference to the care of children with life-shortening conditions.

Thorntons Solicitors is a leading Scottish law firm, offering a full range of legal services and advice to individuals as well as businesses across the country. Last year, the Rocking Horse Ball raised over £100,000 for children and families and we hope, together, to raise even more to ensure that no family faces the death of their child alone.

The partnership between Thorntons and CHAS has been a fantastic partnership which has benefitted both in many different ways. Thorntons are delighted to be affiliated with one of the most prestigious charity events in Edinburgh. In addition, CHAS have engaged Thorntons staff, with many of the trainee solicitors volunteering at CHAS' high profile events. It's also offered Thorntons the opportunity to involve their clients in the partnership, with many of their clients offering prizes for the auctions and raffle helping to raise more funds for the charity. We've been delighted to welcome a partner from the firm, Clare Macpherson onto the event planning committee, which provides Thorntons with more input in the event and has only strengthened the partnership seeing the work that is involved.
