Omni Centre celebrates new partnership with CHAS

Edinburgh leisure and entertainment venue in the heart of the city centre to begin two-year partnership with CHAS.

<p>Children’s Hospices Across Scotland is celebrating after securing a new two-year partnership with the Omni Centre in Edinburgh.</p>

<p>The partnership will see Omni staff take on individual sponsor events while the centre will host a series of fundraising drives throughout the year including cosplay events to coincide with Marvel cinema releases at the Vue cinema such as Black Panther, Dr Strange 2 and Into the Spiderverse. </p>

<p>There are also plans for Nuffield Health within the Omni to organise a spinathon and for restaurant tenants to host their own fundraising events in aid of the charity which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.  </p>

<p>Visitors to the centre can expect to see CHAS posters and displays highlighting the work the charity does supporting children with life shortening conditions across Scotland.  </p>

<p> There will also be collection points and bucket shakes at seasonal events throughout the year such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas.  </p>

<p>CHAS Community Fundraiser, Louise Jordan said: “We are so excited to welcome the Omni Centre as a brand new CHAS charity partner in our 30th anniversary year. Our work together over the course of the next two years will help raise vital funds to help keep the joy alive for the children and families we support right across Scotland in our hospices, at home and in hospital and we are grateful to all at the Omni for their generous support.”  </p>

<p>Omni Centre spokesperson Matthew Fletcher said: “We are delighted to join forces with our chosen charity partner, CHAS, who provides vital hospice services for young children across Scotland. With the support of our local community we hope to build a successful partnership for the benefit of our young children who are in desperate need of our help.”  </p>
