Aladdin at the Alhambra Theatre

The Alhambra pantomime is set to hit the stage this month, and this year it’s the magical tale of Aladdin. Children's Hospices Across Scotland are the nominated charity partner for the production run.

The Alhambra’s 11th pantomime, runs from 10-28 December 2019, and features an all star cast of stage and screen. This year, the Alhambra has nominated Children’s Hospices Across Scotland – better known as CHAS – as their Charity Partner for the run of Aladdin.

CHAS has been offering a full family support service for babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions for nearly 25 years. This includes palliative care, family respite and support – through their hospices in Kinross and Balloch, CHAS at Home and hospital presence.

Claire Fletcher, PR Manager for the Alhambra commented ‘We are thrilled to have CHAS as our charity partnership for our 2019 pantomime Aladdin. The work that CHAS do is incredible, and we are delighted to support CHAS by helping raise funds and awareness through the pantomime run.’

Kirsty Moran, Assistant Community Fundraiser for CHAS said: “It is an absolute pleasure to be partnered with the Alhambra this Christmas and we thank them for having us. It’s our mission to Keep the Joy Alive for the families who need us throughout the year, facing the most difficult of circumstances. Rachel House is often full of smiles and laughter, something the Alhambra will not be short on this panto season! If you’re heading to see Aladdin, look out for our CHAS elves and a cracker of a raffle on select nights throughout December. We look forward to getting into the festive spirit and with the Alhambra’s generosity we will be creating more moments of ‘Joy’ for children and families across Scotland, this Christmas and beyond.’

Taking the title role of Aladdin is Joshua Haynes, star of CBeebies ‘Molly and Mack’, alongside his on screen partner Danielle Jam who plays the role of Princess Jasmine.
