Dr Edward Doyle is convenor of the Rachel House Redesign Committee.
Edward trained in Oxford, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Glasgow before settling in Edinburgh and brings expert clinical knowledge to the board.
Dr Doyle has been a consultant paediatric anaesthetist at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh since 1996. He is also currently the Associate Medical Director for Women’s and Children’s Services in NHS Lothian.
Outside work Edward juggles family life, a small amount of sport, a son at university and another at school and a dog.
It is currently a wonderful time for paediatric palliative care in Scotland with investment from the Scottish Government and the new CHAS Strategy. It is a privilege to be able to support the various developments which we are working on.
