TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions apply to the joint Prize Draw run by Children's Hospices Across Scotland ("CHAS", "we", "us" or the "Promoter") and The Centre, Livingston ("The Centre") (the "Prize Draw"). By entering the Prize Draw you ("you" or the "Entrant") accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions, you should not enter the Prize Draw.
1. Prize Draw
The Prize Draw is promoted and operated by CHAS in partnership with The Centre, Livingston.
Entries will be accepted through the CHAS website or via the free postal entry route set out below.
The Prize Draw will open on 5 October 2026.
The closing date and time for entries is 11:59pm on 10 December 2026 (the "Closing Date").
The draw will take place on 11 December 2026.
Entries received after the Closing Date will not be included in the draw.
The total value of paid entries available for the Prize Draw will not exceed £20,000.
2. Eligible Entrants
The Prize Draw is open to UK residents aged 18 or over only.
Employees of CHAS and The Centre, Livingston, their immediate family members, and anyone directly involved in administering the Prize Draw are not permitted to enter.
By entering, you confirm that you are eligible to enter and to claim the Prize.
CHAS may require proof of age, identity, UK residency and eligibility at any time. Failure to provide satisfactory proof may result in disqualification.
CHAS reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who breaches these Terms and Conditions, provides false or misleading information, or who it reasonably believes has acted fraudulently or in bad faith.
3. Prize
The Prize is Chery Tiggo 4 HEV Summit in Storm Grey only, including 12 months' Road Tax. Full details of the vehicle will be provided on the Prize Draw webpage.
There is no cash alternative to the Prize.
The Prize is non-transferable.
CHAS will own the vehicle prior to its transfer to the Winner.
One day's comprehensive motor insurance will be provided for the Winner, subject to the Winner meeting the insurer's normal underwriting and eligibility criteria. After this period, insurance and all ongoing costs associated with the vehicle will be the Winner's sole responsibility.
The Winner must be able to take legal ownership of the vehicle (including holding a valid driving licence and meeting any insurance eligibility requirements).
The Centre, Livingston will cover the Winner's reasonable travel costs to The Centre, Livingston to collect the vehicle, up to a maximum of £200.
CHAS reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a reasonable equivalent if circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.
The Winner is responsible for any tax or duty arising from receipt of the Prize.
4. How to Enter
Paid entries are available through the CHAS website for £1 per entry.
Entrants may purchase multiple entries. Each £1 purchased represents one separate entry and will be allocated an individual entry number.
Entrants will receive confirmation of their entry following successful payment. Please retain this confirmation until the Prize Draw has taken place.
Entries may also be made free of charge by post in accordance with the instructions provided on the Prize Draw webpage.
Free postal entries are limited to one entry per person.
Postal entries must be sent by first- or second-class post and received 2 days before the Closing Date. Bulk entries, photocopied entries and hand-delivered entries will not be accepted.
Each valid entry, whether paid or postal, will have an equal chance of winning.
5. Refunds
Payments for valid entries are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law or relates to verified fraudulent use of a payment method.
6. Selection of the Winner
Each valid entry will be allocated a unique entry number.
Following the Closing Date, the Winner will be selected at random from all valid entries using a random number generator.
The draw will be conducted by CHAS and The Centre, Livingston using a transparent process and may be conducted or broadcast live.
The winner may be contacted by telephone during the live broadcast of the prize draw and invited to take part on air.
If the draw is affected by a technical fault or other error which could reasonably affect the integrity of the result, CHAS reserves the right to declare that result void and repeat the draw.
7. Contacting the Winner
The Winner will be contacted using the contact details supplied with their entry.
The Winner must respond within 72 hours of CHAS first attempting to contact them.
If the Winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within this period, is found to be ineligible, or fails to provide required documentation, CHAS reserves the right to select another Winner using the same random selection process.
CHAS is not responsible where it is unable to contact a Winner because incorrect or incomplete contact details have been supplied.
8. Collection of the Prize
The Winner will be required to collect the vehicle from The Centre, Livingston on a date agreed with CHAS and The Centre, Livingston.
Before the vehicle can be transferred, the Winner must provide any identification and documentation reasonably required by CHAS, including proof of identity, age and UK residency.
Responsibility for the vehicle (including all risk) passes to the Winner upon completion of the handover.
If the Winner is unable to drive the vehicle legally or does not meet the requirements of the one-day insurance provided, they will be responsible for arranging an alternative lawful means of collecting the vehicle at their own cost.
The winner must collect the vehicle by 4:00pm on 24 December 2026. If the vehicle is not collected by this time, CHAS reserves the right to make alternative arrangements or select an alternative winner in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
9. Winner Announcement and Publicity
CHAS may announce the Winner's first name and county/area following the draw.
With the Winner's consent, CHAS and The Centre, Livingston may use the Winner's full name, photograph and/or participation in reasonable publicity relating to the Prize Draw. Participation in publicity is encouraged but is not a condition of receiving the Prize.
10. Liability and Cancellation
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
CHAS is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete or not successfully received due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
CHAS reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the Prize Draw where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.
11. Personal Data
CHAS will process personal information as necessary to administer the Prize Draw, verify eligibility, contact the Winner and arrange transfer of the Prize.
Entrants will only receive marketing communications where they have provided the appropriate consent. Further information is available in the CHAS Privacy Policy.
12. General
CHAS's decision regarding the administration of the Prize Draw and selection of the Winner is final, subject to applicable law.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Scots law, and the Scottish courts will have exclusive jurisdiction.
