Farewell in the Park – Kirkgate Park, Kinross | 15 August

Join CHAS for a special community celebration as we say farewell for now to Rachel House. This free event brings together our volunteers, supporters and local community to celebrate 30 years of care, connection and compassion.

Come along with family and friends for an afternoon of food, entertainment and activities. Enjoy a barbecue and refreshments, live performers, children’s activities and even Shetland ponies. Please bring your own seating or picnic blankets.

There’s limited parking at Kirkgate Park (priority for those with reduced mobility), with additional nearby options at Mill Street, Old Causeway, School Wynd and Loch Leven (all within walking distance). If travelling by public transport, use Kinross Park & Ride and allow around 20 minutes to walk to the park.

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome—please take care around the ponies. Public toilets are available on-site (20p charge).

This is a drop-in event—no booking required.

Rachel House is temporarily closing for a rebuild as part of our £20m More Than a Hospice Appeal, which will transform children’s palliative care across Scotland. During this time, services will relocate to Mina House in Kinglassie. This rebuild will ensure Rachel House continues to provide world-class care for families for generations to come.
