Whitehall Theatre (Dundee) Pantomime Collection Volunteer, 1-13 December 2021

CHAS has been chosen as one of the charities to benefit from collections at the Downfield Musical Society’s production of Cinderella the Pantomime. We are looking for 4 volunteers at 5 of the performances to collect donations at the end of the show as the audience is leaving.

CHAS has been chosen as one of the charities to benefit from collections at the Downfield Musical Society’s production of Cinderella the Pantomime. We are looking for 4 volunteers at 5 of the performances to collect donations at the end of the show as the audience is leaving. 

Make sure to dress fine and cosy because it’ll be cold outside – oh yes it will be!

What activities will I be involved in? 

  • Collecting with buckets at the event 

What skills and abilities will I need to have? 

  • Outgoing and friendly
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to represent CHAS positively in the local community
  • Willingness to stand outside in all weathers for a good cause
  • Shared values with the organisation: respect, care, honesty, accountability 

How much time should I offer? 

Volunteering shifts will last just 30 minutes and are available on three days in December:

Friday 10 December – 9pm – 9:30pm

Saturday 11 December – 1pm – 1:30pm and 4pm – 4:30pm

Sunday 12 December – 3pm – 3:30pm and 7pm – 7:30pm 

Location: Whitehall Theatre, 12 Bellfield Street, Dundee, DD1 5JA

It’s important to us that you feel happy, safe and confident in your role. You will receive a briefing at the start of the event with all the relevant information.

What are the benefits to the children and families supported by CHAS? 

By shaking buckets at events you are helping to fund our vital services that support children and families at difficult times in their lives.

A visible presence in the community, raising funds at events, you are the public face of CHAS and help to raise awareness of our vital services in the community. 

What else should I know? 

Volunteers need to be aged 18 or over for this role. Those under 18 are welcome to accompany adults however anyone who is collecting must be over 14.  

We will pay your out of pocket expenses in line with the CHAS volunteer expenses policy.
