Appointed as a Director of CHAS in June 2015, Fiona also serves on the Finance and Investment Committee.
With a career in the investment industry, Fiona brings financial expertise to the board.
Fiona has been involved in the investment industry since 1993, managing investment portfolios for a range of clients from charities to large-scale pension funds and retail funds. Currently, she is a senior investment manager at Anderson Strathern Asset Management in Edinburgh. Previously she has worked for Aberdeen Asset Management and Edinburgh Fund Managers.
Fiona is married with a teenage son. Much of her time is taken up being a taxi driver to
meet his various commitments, as well as being a part-time sports psychologist and avid supporter of his table tennis career!
Fiona likes to travel, and enjoy scuba diving (but strictly in sunnier climes). When she can she also enjoys cooking and entertaining.
CHAS is simply a super charity, and I feel extremely honoured and privileged to be
part of the ambition to bring medical expertise and unrivalled compassion, but more importantly hope and laughter, to families facing the most desperate of situations. Through my involvement, I meet the most inspirational people whose experiences influence my own moral compass and values far beyond my expectations.
