Glasgow to Mongolia for CHAS
In July, friends Chris, Daniel and Calum set off in their Nissan Micra to take on the Mongol Rally 2018 and we were delighted to be one of the chosen charities.
This adventure was not for the faint-hearted and had three rules:
- Teams must raise a minimum of £1,000 for charity
- Vehicles must adhere to a 1200cc engine limit
- Teams are unsupported throughout their journey
This mammoth journey saw the friends drive 10,500 miles and this week they got home safe and sound! It wasn't all plain sailing and we have heard tales of arriving at the wrong border, countless tyre changes and a broken rear axle! Chris said: 'All in all, it was a fantastic experience that let us see some fantastic sights and visit places we never thought we would. The fact we've managed to raise the money we have makes it all even better!'
An incredible £1,800 has been raised and we want to say the biggest of thank you's for taking on such a challenge - welcome home and well done!
