Glasgow granny glides across the Clyde!

At 79 years young Glasgow granny, Barbara Drummond, set her sights on conquering the Zipslide Across the Clyde to raise funds for CHAS.

Whilst on holiday in Canada Barbara saw the iconic Niagara Falls zipline and thought it looked absolutely incredible. Unfortunately she didn't get the chance to do this in Canada but when she came home and saw a flyer for the zipslide in her local supermarket she knew she had to get involved!

When she found out that CHAS had places available she 'jumped' at the chance of taking part and so she booked her place to 'jump for joy' on Saturday 22 June. Barbara has shared her reasons behind taking on this challenge.

"I'm delighted to have made a difference to CHAS as it's such a worthwhile charity! To know that some children won't make it to adulthood is very upsetting and I know how important it is to make the time they have here full of lovely memories - I hope the money I raised will help to do that."

Barbara has raised over £750 through her efforts - thank you so much, you're amazing!
