Great North Run: CHAS charity place ballot OPEN!

This is one of the must-do events in the running calendar and we can't wait to see four CHAS t-shirts stand out in the crowd of almost 60,000 runners on the iconic Newcastle to South Shields route.

Taking place on 8 September 2019, we have four individual Simply Health Great North Run half marathon places to offer four lucky runners who will use the opportunity to fundraise, helping us in our mission to reach every family in Scotland who have a child with a life-shortening condition.

To ensure everyone has a fair chance of a CHAS place we will be holding a ballot to draw the four lucky runners. The ballot is now open and will close at midnight on Sunday 17 February. Four individuals will be drawn at random and contacted in the week commencing Monday 18 February.

If you are drawn you agree to pay a deposit of £15 and endeavor to fund raise a minimum of £250 for CHAS (excluding gift aid) through sponsorship, 50% of which must be raised six weeks before race day to show your commitment to run for CHAS. The ballot is for guaranteed places in the half marathon only and unfortunately we can't cover your travel or accommodation costs. Only one entry per person and as places will be drawn individually we cannot guarantee pairs/groups.
