Fundraise for CHAS this Christmas!

Thousands of families across Scotland are living with the terrifying heartbreak that their child might die young, and that number is rising. CHAS is determined that no-one should face the death of their child alone.

Christmas is a difficult time for anyone who has experienced loss, but we want to help CHAS children and families create special memories and enjoy their time together.

For Layla’s family, this will be the first Christmas without their little girl. Mum Kimberley says, "Nothing will ever truly ease the pain of losing your child but having wonderful happy memories helps us tremendously. Last year was a magical Christmas for our whole family. Without the help of CHAS, Layla would have gone back into the hospital on Christmas Day. Instead she got to wake up to our cuddles, open presents with her sister, eat Christmas dinner with our whole family, and get tucked up in her own bed at night.”

You can't spell CHristmAS without CHAS…

Our essential work at CHAS is only possible thanks to the generosity of supporters like yourself. We would love you to be involved in fundraising for CHAS - here are some ways you can support CHAS and have fun this Christmas.

The Big CHAS Bake

Support CHAS by holding a Festive Big CHAS Bake - you could sell Christmas cake, make mini Christmas puds or hold a bake sale at work. Find out more about how to sign up.

12 Days of 5K

The challenge is to walk or run 5k a day for 12 days in December. Full details are on the 12 days of 5k's event page.

Festive Funday

Create your own Festive Funday with friends or colleagues. Pick a day and hold a Christmas Jumper Day, dress down day or support us at your Christmas lunch.

Reindeer Run

Support CHAS by taking on a Reindeer Run this Christmas, at your school, nursery or youth club. Our Christmas fundraiser will benefit your school or club as well, as we're suggesting that you split your fundraising with us. So let's raise money together! Sign up here https://www.chas.org.uk/reindeer-run.

What your fundraising can do…

  • £45 could help children like Layla to enjoy music therapy and make wonderful memories with their families.
  • £100 could enable a CHAS bereavement team specialist to support a family like Layla's through the most difficult of times.
  • £250 could help a family like Layla's to enjoy a short respite break at Robin House or Rachel House - helping them to rest, relax and recharge.

Your fundraising will help many families across Scotland.
