Young volunteers
There are many opportunities for young people to get involved in volunteering. This provides the opportunity to meet new people, make friends and learn new skills. CHAS young volunteers are involved in many areas, both within and outwith the hospices. These volunteer roles include kitchen, housekeeping, retail, fundraising, Friends Groups and young befriending. A number of our affected young people using the hospices are teenagers, some of which don't get the chance to mix with people their own age and enjoy coming into contact with young volunteers.
