Staff from the Royal Bank of Scotland Security and Risk Department based in the Gyle, Edinburgh, visited the South East fundraising office last week to hand over donations to support a new appeal.
CHAS are appealing for donations of good quality clothing and accessories as part of the Association of Charity Shops’ ‘Donate, Don’t Waste’ campaign, which launched on Monday 22 February. Over 5000 charity shops across the UK have teamed up for the first time to urge people to donate.
The Royal Bank of Scotland Security & Risk Department has supported CHAS since September 2009 and since then has raised the fantastic sum of over £11,500.
Jayne Forbes, CHAS Fundraiser said: “We rely on the generosity of our supporters to keep a good stock turnover in our Kinross charity shops, and our new temporary shop in the Kingsgate Centre in Dunfermline. Any donations will be gratefully received in the South East fundraising office in Edinburgh at 42 Craiglockhart Avenue.
“All profits from CHAS shops help to enrich the lives of the children, young people and their families across Scotland who rely on the vital hospice services provided by CHAS.”
CHAS has two charity shops, at 76 and 88 High Street Kinross, and a temporary shop at the Kingsgate Centre in Dunfermline. Click here to find out about door-stop collections
