LOCAL CHAS FRIENDS GROUP NEEDS YOU!
Could you spare some time to help the Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) to raise funds and awareness of their vital work by joining the local CHAS friends group ‘Friends of CHAS – Linlithgow and Bo’ness’.
The friends group are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the group and continue their excellent work in the local community. The group first started in May 2004 and so far has raised over £5,800 for CHAS by organising various activities including coffee mornings, ceilidhs and attending local fundraising galas.
Ian Scott from Friends of CHAS – Linlithgow & Bo’ness group said: “We are a friendly and welcoming group and would be delighted to hear from people who are interested in supporting CHAS while having fun at the same time! I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported the group over the last three years.”
CHAS provides hospices services in Scotland for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. CHAS runs Robin House children’s hospice at Balloch near Loch Lomond, Rachel House children’s hospice in Kinross and the Rachel House at Home service which provides an at home service for families in the Highlands. Although these services are available to families free of charge, it costs CHAS almost £5 million each year to provide these vital services.
For further information on joining the friends group please contact Ian Scott on 01506 844579 or email scottia@blueyonder.co.uk. For more information on CHAS please visit the website at www.chas.org.uk or contact your local fundraising office on 0131 444 1515.
