The Galloway Gathering was held as part of the Homecoming 2009 Celebrations in Portpatrick on Saturday 29 August 2009.
The day was kicked off with a parade by the Buccleuch and Queensberry Caledonia Pipe Band and local school children and then a further five hours of lots of fun and entertainment including Clay Pigeon Shooting, Sword Fighting, Whiskey Tasting and a Children's Fun Zone!
The event was held in celebration of Galloway's fine locally produced foods, drinks, crafts and local traditions.
All profits made from the event were then kindly donated to CHAS and the local MacMillan Cancer Support Group.
Pictured above is two members of Portpatrick Friends of CHAS presenting a cheque to Nicola Gunn, CHAS Fundraiser.
