CHAS in your Will

Photo by Paul HamptonWe realise that choosing who to leave money to in your will is a very personal choice.

If you do choose to select a charity to remember it’s a simple process and your solicitor can give you all the advice you need.

Legacies are an incredibly important source of income for CHAS. In the year 2010/11 just over a quarter of our total income came from this type of donation.

Judy Cheer is just one of our many supporters who have remembered CHAS in her will:

I have left four charity legacies in my will all of which mean something to me. I chose CHAS as one of those beneficiaries because I think it is in a unique situation supporting families across the whole of Scotland. I decided to re-make my will recently because I now have more grandchildren– and I wanted the charities to be reflected in my will. The whole process really was incredibly simple. After making the initial changes with the solicitor, I just explained the four charities I wanted to leave money to, he looked up the charity numbers for each one and inserted them into the will – and that was it.

If you’d like to discuss leaving a legacy to CHAS in your will contact your local fundraising office.

In addition to legacies we receive generous gifts in memory. Visit our dedications page.
