CHAS at Home

The CHAS at Home Team (previously called Rachel House at Home) provides support to families in their own home. As well as providing support in times of crisis, there is also a team who provide ongoing support to families in the Highlands due to geographical location. This team provides many of the services that a children's hospice offers, but the difference is that they are available to you and your family in your own home - during the day and evening, seven days a week. The team are trained support workers with a variety of skills. We have spent time at Rachel House and are closely linked to the Care Team there.

We can offer planned help with:

  • The care of your child
  • Support to brothers and sisters, which can include play and activities
  • Enabling children to access activities in the community
  • Emotional support
  • Practical help in times of crisis
  • Bereavement support

In addition, every three months, ie March, June, September and December, we take all the families together to the Netley Centre at the Highland Hospice for an afternoon of support and activities.
